The Mississippi Arts Commission is pleased to announce the recipients of the Building Fund for the Arts (BFA) grant. This funding opportunity supports the much-needed repair, renovation, expansion, or construction of Mississippi facilities that serve as sites for year-round arts programming in their communities. The Mississippi Legislature approved $3 million for the BFA program for FY2023.
The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) is pleased to announce a new look for Mississippi’s official grant-making and service agency for the arts.
Earlier this week, I announced that I would be stepping down from my position as executive director of MAC. I’ve accepted a position as the Director of Development for the Blanton Museum at The University of Texas at Austin. Larry Morrisey will be taking on the role of interim executive director until the role is filled. The board has already started the search for the next Executive Director.
The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) Executive Director, Sarah Story, will step down from her role effective Friday, September 9, 2022. Story has served as executive director since September of 2020.
