2023 Meet the MAC Dates!

In advance of the agency’s annual grant round, which opens Wednesday, February 1, 2023, the Mississippi Arts Commission will host a series of presentations to assist grant applicants.

“Meet the MAC” presentations take place in locations throughout the state, offering an overview of the agency’s grants and information on how to apply. First-time applicants are especially encouraged to attend one of the presentations. This outreach targets Mississippi-based artists, arts organizations, and other nonprofit organizations.

The deadline to apply for MAC grants is Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

All of the events listed below are free and open to the public.

January TBD – Meet the MAC at Rust College, Holly Springs – Maria Zeringue

January 9 @ 6 p.m. – Meet the MAC at the Tishomingo Community Center – Maria Zeringue

January 11 – @ 2 p.m. Meet the MAC at the Starkville Area Arts Council -Victoria Meek

January 12 @ noon – Meet the MAC at the Link Centre, Tupelo -Leslie Barker 

January 18 @ noon – Meet the MAC at Pass Books/Cat Island Coffeehouse (360 Courthouse Road, Gulfport) – Kristen Brandt

February 1 @ noon – Meet the MAC at the MAX in Meridian Kristen Brandt 

February 6 @ 6 p.m. – Meet the MAC at the Hattiesburg Arts Council – Victoria Meek & Leslie Barker

February 7 @ 6 p.m. – Meet the MAC at the Briarwood Arts Center, Jackson – Leslie Barker

February 9 @ 7–8 p.m. – Meet the MAC at Pacesetter Gallery, Flowood – Victoria Meek

February 10 @ noon – Meet the MAC at the Grammy Museum – Lauren Rhoades
