Earlier this week, I announced that I would be stepping down from my position as executive director of MAC. I’ve accepted a position as the Director of Development for the Blanton Museum at The University of Texas at Austin. Larry Morrisey will be taking on the role of interim executive director until the role is filled. The board has already started the search for the next Executive Director.
The Summer 2022 Issue, “Craft and Community During COVID” of Mississippi Folklife is now available online at www.mississippifolklife.org. This digital journal features original writing, photography, films, and documentary work focused on present-day folklife and cultural heritage throughout the state.
