JACKSON, MISS. – Jan. 15, 2019 – The Mississippi Arts Commission is now accepting applications for the agency’s annual grants program. Operating and project grants are available for organizations and schools, and fellowships, apprenticeships, artist roster and teaching artist roster applications are available for individual artists. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 1, 2019, at 5 p.m.

Grants to organizations fund a broad range of arts projects in Mississippi communities and help nonprofit arts organizations maintain financial stability, build organization capacity and improve artist programs. Funds are also available to organizations for presenting a roster artist or teaching artist. Grants to individual artists encourage artistic excellence, support the creation of new work, as well as help to ensure the survival of community-based traditional art forms found throughout the state.
