Victoria Meek, Executive Assistant and Special Initiatives Director
As Executive Assistant and Special Initiatives Director, Victoria manages the administrative duties required for assisting the Executive Director, as well as managing a portfolio of grants programs and special initiatives.
Victoria Meek is a visual artist and administrator who has used her talents in support of the arts in museum, gallery, and professional studio settings. She was raised in Meridian, Mississippi, and has called Jackson home since 2017. She most recently served as Assistant Curator of Studio and Family programs at the Mississippi Museum of Art. She has also served as Executive Assistant at Pearl River Glass Studio in Jackson. While studying at New York University, Victoria gained valuable arts administration experience working at the Whitney Museum of American Art, which served her in later positions held at Brooklyn Museum and Peter Freeman, Inc. in New York.
Victoria earned her B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from the University of Southern Mississippi and an M.A. in Museum Studies from New York University.
