MAC SEEKS ARTS-BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

MAC is currently seeking an Arts-Based Community Development Program Director. This is a full-time, permanent position with the agency based in Jackson, Mississippi. This staff member oversees a number of grant programs and special initiatives related to projects and organizations that utilize the arts in community development. Full position description

This position is being vacated as a result of Melody Moody Thortis’ promotion to the position of Grants Director. Longtime MAC Grants Director Diane Williams will retire at the end of June after more than 16 years of service with MAC.

MAC anticipates a start date of June 1, 2019, for this position.

The Mississippi Arts Commission is the state’s official arts granting and service agency. Based in Jackson, Mississippi, MAC is an independent state agency governed by a fifteen-person board.
