Tara Janique is a jazz vocalist, arts entrepreneur, arts philanthropist, and arts educator. She’s performed on several platforms, including before the president and Carnegie Hall with the Alcorn State University Concert Choir, served as a lead vocalist in a plethora of jazz band performances, and was featured on Christian artists’ recording projects. In addition to jazz standards, her performance repertoire includes a versatile mix of contemporary jazz, Christian music, and Gospel, classical, folk, and r & b. Her influences are broad, from Tremaine Hawkins to Lizz Wright to Kathleen Battle. She studied music at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She’s passionate about music education and the relationship between arts and Christianity.
