Mark Maharrey is an actor, singer, musician, and teacher. Musical theatre is his passion, but Mark is just as comfortable working the ukulele and blues harmonica into a lesson. Mark works very well with PreK and elementary students. Mark is currently available for his Uke Can Do It experience, a 3 to 5-day residency to get a class “Strumming and Humming,” culminating in a ukulele concert. Maharrey is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. After five years in NY, which included a stint Off-Broadway and the founding of an acting troupe to showcase other Mississippi actors, ark has fronted numerous Blues bands as lead singer and harmonica player. Mark spent over 25 years in broadcasting as a voice-over artist and a manager. He has been very active in Mississippi theatre, especially in the Northern area. Mark credits his ability to work with younger students with teaching and leading in the Cub Scout organization.
