Kinetic Etchings, a professional contemporary dance company, tours two to three arts-in-education productions during each school year. Students throughout Mississippi have access to performances, dance workshops, post-performance conversations, and classroom visits from experienced dance professionals.

These workshops are specifically designed to meet the needs of the organization and typically occur either before or after the performance. The company is led by MAC teaching artist Kathryn G. Wilson, specializing in arts integration. Each year, the education program features interactive dance performances such as:
Winnie-the-Pooh Ballet: Teaching the elements of dance and ELA
Peter & the Wolf Ballet: Teaching classical ballet and music
Five-Person Nutcracker: Teaching history, dance elements, and classical ballet
These performances are geared toward elementary students. For middle and high school students, Kinetic Etchings tours with a production of Little Women based on the beloved Alcott novel and produces two all-original concerts annually with rotating themes that can be booked.

We also offer weekly dance classes for schools in the Jackson, MS, area.
