After receiving her BFA in dance from Belhaven University, Kathryn Gurtler Wilson pursued a career with a dance company in Sarasota, Florida. In 2015, she returned to Jackson, MS, to accept a position at Belhaven University. During this time, she co-founded the Kinetic Etchings Dance Project. Currently, she is the artistic director of Kinetic Etchings. She has served as an adjunct professor of dance at Belhaven University. She has taught at the International Ballet Competition’s City Dance, a scholarship program, and served as dance instructor at Casey Elementary (a Mississippi Whole School), The Studio LLC, Repeat Performance, and Epic Dance and Fitness. Wilson is available to teach model lessons to students in creative movement with arts-integrated core subject lessons, and introduction to classical ballet. She can also present Professional Development workshops and can lead PLCs on using creative dance in the classroom.
