Emerald Accent is a well-rounded Mississippi band and is equally at home playing for festivals, dances, weddings and concerts. In their founding in 2010 they purposed to be entertaining and educational with Celtic history through song and stories. While performing they explain and educate their audience whether at festivals, pubs or speaking to children in schools. They have been on the Mississippi Arts Commission Artist Roster and have been the official performing band for the Jackson Irish Dancers since 2015.
Creating a beautiful wall of sound the band includes, Clark Lowery (DADGAD guitar, banjo, bouzouki, vocals), Allison Talley (Low and high whistle, flute, keyboard, vocals), Alexis Frenette (fiddle, vocals, keyboard), Tom McCandlish (bodhran, vocals) and Temperance Babcock (fiddle, vocals).

With backgrounds in Irish, Bluegrass, Blues and Classical, the band brings freshness to the genre while priding itself in showcasing the Irish and Scottish traditional styles.
Emerald Accent has produced three CD’s: “Laurel Green” recorded in the summer of 2012, “For Love of Scotland” released September 2015, and their latest “The Oats Field” released March 2020. They are currently working on a new Irish CD to be released in the spring of 2023.
