During the school year, Bob Swanson teaches physical science and astronomy at Mississippi State University. However, during the summer, “Stormin’ Bob Swanson, The Singing Weatherman,” grabs his guitar (and banjo and harmonicas and mandolin and accordion), and hits the road with his family to play weather and astronomy songs for schools, libraries, and community groups. Stormin’ Bob is pleased to offer three 45-minute programs, “Music and Meteorology,” “Out of this World” (astronomy), and “Sky Stories” (science-themed storytelling), that can be tailored to meet the size and age range of your audience. He has his own sound system, microphones, and projection system and can play for audiences up to 300.
