MAC Accounces Minigrant Application Deadline
Minigrant Applications Due Friday, June 1, 2015
The Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the agency’s Minigrant program beginning Friday, May 1, 2015. The upcoming application deadline is Monday, June 1, 2015. MAC offers two Minigrant deadlines each year – June 1 and November 1 (this year the second deadline takes place on Monday, November 2, 2015) to assist with smaller arts projects around the state.
Minigrants for organizations are designed to meet a wide variety of needs in Mississippi communities, schools, and arts organizations and stimulate arts projects in rural and underserved communities. Non-profit organizations or local government entities may apply for up to $1,000 to either support a presentation by members of the MAC’s Artist Roster, to hire a consultant, or to support professional development efforts for an arts organization. An organization may receive one Minigrant per fiscal year.
Professional-level artists may apply through the Artist Minigrant program for up to $500 to support promotion and marketing efforts, to attend a professional development workshop, or to purchase art supplies.
Complete grant guidelines and application forms are here or call 601-359-6030 for more details. First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to call and speak with a MAC staff member about their project before submitting an application.
