Rosângela Yazbec Sebba is Professor of Piano at Mississippi State University, where she coordinates the piano area and Community Music School. She led the university’s All-Steinway School designation (2024) and teaches piano and literature. Her students have earned awards at regional, national, and international levels. She presents workshops and lecture-recitals worldwide. Her performance career spans solo and collaborative repertoire. She recorded M. Camargo Guarnieri’s Eight Sonatinas and Sonata for Piano Solo in 2010, and contemporary chamber music with the Millennia Musicae in 2017. Principal pianist for the Starkville/MSU Symphony, she has performed with orchestras in the U.S. and Brazil. She contributes to American Music Teacher Magazine, the Frances Clark Center, and CMS Symposium. Honored as a Steinway Artist, she received the Steinway Teacher of the Year award (2022, 2023), was inducted into the Teachers Hall of Fame (2023), and was named MSU John Grisham Master Teacher (2024).
