Hailing from culturally rich Oxford, Mississippi, Damein Wash is an avid performer, taking Mississippi music to large cities across the United States. He also writes scores for television and film, including arranging and conducting “Deep South Gospel” for Sony’s Moonshine Recording, which was featured on the TV show American Gods. His recent work includes directing a concert of protest songs for Oxford’s Burns Belfry Museum, performing a Mississippi Gospel Blues concert in France and Germany, and assembling a Mississippi soul singer tribute for the Governor’s Concert at the Bicentennial Celebration North.
