Sheila Slaughter

Sheila has over 18 years of experience in state government, including Accounting, Human Resources, and Payroll.

Her previous role was Division Director II with the MS Dept. of Health, where she was responsible for Recruiting, Contract Management, Budget, and Accounts Payable.

 Shelia earned her Bachelor’s in Business with a minor in Human Resource Development from Jackson State University. She also holds an HR Certification with SHRM.

As Chief Fiscal Officer, Sheila directs the agency’s fiscal activities, including budgeting, compliance, internal controls, grants management, travel, procurement, fixed assets, payroll, revenues and expenditures processing, and reporting on those activities. She advises executive staff on fiscal policies and state and federal compliance and manages year-end financial reporting.
