Before completing her BBA in Accounting from Delta State University, Emily performed with a touring dance company based in New York City. She earned a BFA in dance from the University of the North Carolina School of the Arts and MFA in dance from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Since coming to Mississippi, Emily has received a MAC Individual Artist Fellowship for choreography and has developed and taught dance programming for children and adults through both the Delta Arts Alliance and the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education. Her work at MAC encompasses agency budgeting, grants management, purchasing, payroll, revenues and expenditures processing and reporting on all of those activities. Dance and accounting are very much alike, as both disciplines are critically dependent upon an unwavering focus to detail.
