This Sunday on the Mississippi Arts Hour, we are playing an archive show in memory of the late Clinton-based painter and artist Paul Fayard, who passed away in September. Fayard was a recipient of a MAC Artist Fellowship in 2013, and his work was shown in galleries across the state. We’ll be playing a 2016 interview with Fayard, hosted by MAC director emeritus Malcolm White. They discuss Fayard’s roots in New Orleans, his interest in painting the architecture of his hometown, and his work at Wolfe Studio in Jackson.
