T.B. Ledford is a journeyman musician who was born in the Mississippi Delta. He now resides in Lafayette County, where he has performed in numerous bands of local fame and regional renown, including the Sincere Ramblers, the Kudzu Kings, and the Taylor Grocery Band. Along the way, he and some friends accidentally created Thacker Mountain Radio Hour, a statewide southern culture radio program which features musicians, authors and others in front of a live audience and is now in its 24th season. In 2005, the show received a Governor’s Arts Award.
T.B. Ledford’s latest outfit is the Accumulators, which play a variety of Southern song styles including country blues, bluegrass, and jug band music. Joined by Austin Sorey on upright bass and Matthew Magee on fiddle, the Accumulators often share the stage with T.B.’s grade school daughters who play guitar, fiddle, and join in on lead and harmony vocals. The Accumulators enjoy reintroducing audiences to their musical heritage while also helping train the next generation of Mississippi musicians.
