Alonzo Emmanuel Ajja Thompson, Jr. (BFA – Texas Christian University) is a modern and contemporary choreographer with an extensive dance and physical theatre background, specializing in diasporic African movement traditions as well as aerial performance. After receiving professional training from the Joffrey Ballet School (NYC, NY), Thompson served as Performance Manager & Dance Captain for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (2010 – 2024) as well as a dance instructor with Nexplore USA in Miami (2024—2026). Performance experience includes Walt Disney World Entertainment’s large-scale productions of The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantasmic! Thompson is the Founder & Artistic Director of NZO Dance Theatre, located in Jackson, MS.
