Adam Trest is a painter, illustrator, and product designer. He has taught Art Education for ten years in Laurel, with his most recent position as the Gifted Studies Teacher at Laurel Magnet School of the Arts. Trest uses an arts integration approach, using theater, painting, illustration, and sculpture in the classroom along with academic standards to further the knowledge of his students.
His background includes theatrical design and arts-based entrepreneurship. His passion for downtown revitalization led him to serve on the Laurel Main Street Board and the design committee. Trest is also a working artist and is represented by the Caron Gallery in Tupelo. He has a bachelor’s degree in fine art with a minor in architectural design from Mississippi State University.
